Older people pictured or laced emphasis on, they represent thing the youth is uninterested in.
Issues that don't concern the, e.g., housing prices, marriage and kids.
Home Making ideas that are not relevant to younger audiences and that they may not be able to afford or want to do.
They have shorter attention spans so things like puzzles interest them less and they feel less of a reward from completion of puzzles.
What appeals to younger audiences?
The possibility to win big prices.
Some cartoons but possibly not if the reader is trying to shrug of immaturity or has a dislike for them.
Cookery as they have less experience than older people and have to cook for themselves most of the time and Clothes as they care about vanity and have lower budgets due to youth.
Digital style media reports as they identify with them and when they look familiar then their is more identification with them as they are recognisable.
Some level of politics, not to in depth as this can get 'boring' but mostly things that will effect them in some way, e.g., minimum wage rises.

Lifestyle improvements like jogging and cycling as they strive to be fitter and as a result look for tips in the genre.
Eco-friendly reports and news as this is a larger concern for youth as they will feel the impacts more and live through it.

Youth Age Groups
16-18, This age group will have just left full time education and will have less disposable income they also will likely work for a lower wage, around half will plan to go to University meaning that they will need to cut corners with costs and other luxuries meaning they are less likely to send on a magazine and as such the target audience of this group is substantially less. around 86.4% of these people are in some form of education.
18-21, This age group will likely be just entering the full time job market and as such they may have slightly more disposable income however they likely are not in a position to spend much as they likely will not have much money for a house and still will be renting or living with their parents if they can. They will likely have more connection to media still and will prefer stories that are relevant to them.
21-25, This age group will have started working in the role they have focused on in education and as a result will have more money and may have been working their for a while, they have more world experience and will in general be more knowledgeable they likely will prefer around 40% of people think they spend too much time outside with this mostly being 34 and under age groups.
