Favreau introduced the film in teaser trailers at popular events and released still images from the film to give an insight of the film. In
order to appeal to a variety of audiences through the trailer, they chose to use the example of ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ instead of other popular films like Cinderella from example. This appeals more to male audiences. A
Jon Favreau also deliberately wanted the animals to seem more HD and less animated so it would
seem more suitable for older people.
In 1967 and 2016 Disney released different trailers, with 1967 trailer was animated and was impressive for the generation of tech it was released in however the quality of the trailer from modern day assessment dose not hold up well. The newer jungle book trailer has made the film seem darker and successfully shrugged the image of a child's film away from the production, this has allowed Disney to create a mores suspenseful film than the 1967 one. The 1967 trailer has a more upbeat tone making it appeal more to a younger audience. The 2016 trailer is less appealing to children, but dose appeal to the older audience who watched the original jungle book. Due to this, the story is being portrayed as a more intense and brutal film.
